After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, Gateway Christian Academy is thrilled to announce Anna Moreno-Allison as the new Director of Athletics. As a former Division I head volleyball coach, seasoned club director, and mentor to hundreds of young athletes and coaches, Anna brings with her more than 20 years of experience in collegiate and youth athletics and exemplifies a consistent commitment to excellence, team development, and Christ-centered leadership. Anna’s approach to athletics is deeply rooted in her calling as a servant leader and follower of Christ. Her heart for mentorship, strategic vision, and emphasis on
character and community will greatly impact GCA’s athletic culture. In her new role, she will oversee all sports programs, guide staff development, lead Gateway’s volleyball program, and foster student-athlete engagement. She also aims to expand Gateway’s sports offerings, strengthen community partnerships, and create an environment where faith, discipline, and teamwork thrive.
“It’s an incredible honor to lead a program where Christ is at the center,” said Moreno-Allison. “Athletics is a great way to help young people grow, and I’m excited to help our students discover who they are in Christ while pursuing excellence and growing in faith in everything they do.”
We are incredibly thankful for the hard work, dedication, and impact of our previous Athletic Director and our former Volleyball Coach, whose faithful leadership helped lay the groundwork for GCA athletics to succeed. Building on that strong foundation, Anna begins her new season of leadership June 1.
Anna holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Oral Roberts University and a Master’s in Education with a focus on Athletic Administration from Northcentral University. Anna met her husband, Josh, at Oral Roberts University. They have been married for 20 years and have three children: Giulia (17), Gabriel (14), and Grace (9). We are excited to welcome the Moreno-Allison family into the Gateway Christian Academy community and look forward to the impact Anna will make in the lives of our students, families, and the entire GCA family.
